Triny Designs #1  USE OF MILD SOAP

Use soap with a neutral pH, which does not irritate your skin and will not damage your girdle. Another alternative would be to use shampoo of your choice or cleansing water, which can be found in facial cleansing stores or online.

Washing directions with mild soap:

In warm water add the soap until you get soapy water making sure that it dissolves completely and this would be the perfect solution to clean your girdle without risking damaging it.

We should never use chlorine since being a very strong cleaner would damage the fabric, causing it to lose elasticity and firmness. To rinse it, we change the water and we could add a little softener.

Triny Designs #2  HAND WASH

We need to wet a towel in the soapy water and gently wipe it over the girdle until the smell and sweat are completely eliminated. If necessary we could submerge the girdle and gently rub it with your hands.

Triny Designs #3  NEVER, NEVER, EVER

Trinydesigns

Never use sponges or brushes because they can damage the fabric that covers your girdle and remove fluff, it will also make it look ugly and used, and in the process will make the fabric very thin making it tear easily.

Triny Designs #4  NO, NO, NO, and “NO”

Trinydesigns

A definite “NO” to the use of the washer and dryer machines, this process could shrink the girdle and the heat could also melt certain parts of the girdle, causing major damage such as the broken internal structure or lost seams.

Triny Designs #5   FORBIDDEN TO SQUEEZE OUT EXCESS WATER

Trinydesigns

If you want your girdle to remain firm and stay in shape for a long time, you must avoid the manual or mechanical process to remove the excess water that it may have, either because you submerged it in the water to remove the sweat, or because the towel that you used wet your girdle more than necessary.

What should we do? :

The best way to remove the excess water would be with a dry towel to press the strip against the towel so that it absorbs all the water possible so that when it is put to air dry, the process is shorter and does not take bad smells.

Triny Designs #6  DEFINITELY “YES” TO FRESH AIR DRYING

Trinydesigns

Once the washing process is finished, the ideal would be to hang it outdoors for a minimum of 4 hours on a clothes hanger, taking care that this hook does not alter the shape or leave marks on the girdle (FAJA) during the drying process, and any additional detail It would be very important not to expose it directly to the sun. Let it dry naturally indoors.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW:

what could possibly happen if we leave it directly exposed to the sun when it dries is that it could discolor and/or damage the latex that covers it, as it is a relatively delicate material, as a consequence it would lose elasticity and its internal structure would break.
This would obviously significantly shorten its useful life.

IN A HURRY?: If you need to wash your girdle quickly:
In case you need to dry your girdle quickly, you can use a hairdryer at the lowest intensity or if it is adjustable to cold air.

Triny Designs #7  HOW TO STORE YOUR GIRDLE (FAJA)

Trinydesigns

Triny Designs A    Never iron it! You run the risk of permanently damaging your girdle since the extreme heat that the iron transmits is very strong for the materials with which it is made and certain parts can deform or melt.

Triny Designs B  Normally the girdles have a firm internal structure which prevents us from folding them in certain places, but if we fold following their natural shape we will not have a problem, a plus would be to store it in dark spaces such as a dresser or wardrobe.

Triny Designs C  We must close the hooks of the girdle to prevent it from getting caught with other garments, which could damage or unstitch the girdle or break the other garment.

Triny Designs D  Finally, try to store it in a place where direct sunlight does not reach it, as it can become discolored, losing its appearance and quality.
